Dear friends and family,
Just a quick update. At 5:30 this evening, following 6 days of hospitalization, Polley is home and on the mend! Hooray! Initial surgery was said to have gone well. Drugs and the shock of the fall seemed to leave her a bit disoriented, but she made such great strides in the last 48 hours that she was released to home and avoided the rehabilitation center. So now, with a walker for a few weeks, then a cane and about 8 weeks following last Tuesday's surgery, she should be back to 100%. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and support. It is great to have such good friends and family. It makes it so much easier.
